Continuing with our 10th year anniversary celebration, Eden Roc Cap Cana welcomes renowned chef David Kinch.
Working alongside Chef Adriano Venturini, our Culinary Director, Chef Kinch will use locally sourced ingredients to create dishes that showcase the best of both worlds. Flavors of David Kinch at La Palapa
Chef David Kinch takes over La Palapa for Sunday’s lunch by offering a selection of plates that are signature of his cuisine. Unique masterpieces crafted for the occasion using locally sourced ingredients and the special techniques that have become known for Chef Kinch.

David Kinch, the internationally recognized chef known for his exceptional restaurant Manresa, forged a distinctive culinary path putting him at the forefront of a contemporary California cuisine. Over two decades, Manresa received extensive accolades before closing its doors at the end of 2022. Highlights include three Michelin stars for seven consecutive years, a Five Star Forbes Travel Award, and membership in prestigious organizations such as Relais & Chateaux and Les Grande Tables du Monde. In addition to Manresa, Kinch has cultivated other successful culinary projects that continue today, including Manresa Bread, The Bywater, and his newest restaurant, Mentone.
Kinch is consistently recognized on a local, national, and global level, including his international peers voting him into the Top 25 of the World’s Best Chefs 2020 via Le Chef Magazine.
Kinch won an Emmy for his role on the PBS series “The Mind of a Chef.” His first cookbook, “Manresa: An Edible Reflection” landed on the New York Times “Best Sellers List” in 2013, and his second cookbook “At Home in the Kitchen: Simple Recipes from a Chef’s Night Off,” debuted March 2021. Kinch is also the subject of an award-winning documentary “A Chef’s Voyage,” which chronicles the Manresa team’s journey to France for three culinary residencies at legendary Michelin- starred restaurants.
On the 2nd and 3rd of June, 2023, Twin Farms had the pleasure of hosting a gastronomic event that promised an unforgettable culinary journey. The star of the evening was none other than Executive Chef and Culinary Director Adriano Venturini, known for his work at Eden Roc Cap Cana, the only Relais & Châteaux hotel in the Dominican Republic, recognized for its cuisine1.
Chef Venturini, with a rich experience from Michelin-star restaurants throughout Europe, including Le Gavroche in London, is recognized for his Mediterranean approach to the ingredients found in Cap Cana’s crystalline waters. His focus on sustainable food sourcing, ethical fishing methods, and “head-to-tail,” zero-waste menus made the event a vibrant celebration of gastronomy and sustainability1.
The evening was designed as a collaborative dinner, where Chef Venturini joined forces with Chef Nathan Rich and his team, adding a unique twist to the cuisine of Vermont. The fusion of flavors, combined with their dedication to sustainable and ethical cooking, made this collaboration a much-anticipated event12.
In addition to the culinary delights, guests were treated to an exquisite wine pairing curated by Master Sommelier David Keck. This added an extra layer of sophistication to the event, allowing the guests to explore the synergy between the food and the wines from the cellar2.
The event was part of Twin Farms’ visiting chef schedule, marking it as a key highlight in their summer calendar2.
