Chef Arellano will present a memorable and fun experience on January 24th with a five-course tasting menu with wine pairings at Mediterraneo Restaurant, and an interactive dinner at La Palapa by Eden Roc on January 31st.

Mediterraneo Restaurant was rated with the coveted “Four Diamond Award 2014” by AAA (American Automobile Association). La Palapa by Eden Roc is one of the highest rated restaurants in the Eastern region of the Dominican Republic, currently occupying the 7th position of 163 restaurants in Punta Cana, according to TripAdvisor.
The menu created by Chef Arellano for the dinner on January 24th at Mediterraneo Restaurant, which presents a blend of unique flavors, aromas and textures, will include: Sautéed scallops, green Apple and cauliflower; Honeyed and crunchy rice of pig’s trotters and mushrooms; Sobrasada-almond crusted Sea bass; Lamb shoulder confit with Moroccan spices and Sweetened goat Burrata cheese, basil jus and wine-strawberry sorbet.
The culinary career of Chef Arellano is a captivating story, his work experience and training includes some of Europe’s best restaurants such as: “Patrick Guilbaud” (Dublin), “Le Gavroche” (London), “Don Alfonso 1890” (Naples), “Maison Pic” (Valence) and “Can Fabes” (Barcelona), among others, which provided him with the necessary expertise and background to launch its own restaurant, Zaranda, in 2005 at the age of 27.
Shortly after its opening in Madrid, Zaranda was recognized as the “Best new restaurant in Madrid 2005” by Spanish newspaper “EL MUNDO” and the same award was given by the American publication “Food and Wine Magazine”. After 11 months being opened, Zaranda received its first star in the Michelin Guide and later, was also awarded two rosettes in Repsol Guide. Five years later, Zaranda moved to the Island of Mallorca.
